Profile
PATRICK DAHLAN is a professional hunter with more than 30 years’ experience of Central Africa. He owns Block 5 in North Cameroon since 2004, the Faro East concession. His passion and focus on wildlife conservation, together with trained anti-poaching teams, good leadership, and the support of Cameroon’s authorities, is the main component of his operation’s sustainability, with 100% success rate for the past 15+ years with more than 120 SCI hunters.
The 200 000 acres concession offers optimal hunting conditions to maximize your safari experience. It is accessible by car mainly on asphalt roads, from either N’Gaoundere’s airport (2h30 drive), or Garoua’s airport (3h30 drive), no charter being required. The Faro East camp is on the north-east of the Faro River. At the beginning of every season, we grade our 600km of roads with our tractor and burn high straw to optimize vision. Our synchronized communications system allows us to offer our clients top security.
The African-style main camp offers round chalets with solar electricity, en suite bathrooms, hot water, daily laundry and cleaning. Wi-fi is available in camp. Fine and diverse cuisine is adapted to client’s expectations and to what is available in the area. Huntable animals are Lord Derby eland, western roan and western buffalo, hartebeest, bushbuck, reedbuck, and duikers. Lion and elephant quotas are available. The hunting period is from January to April.
